The Company is seeking a Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs to join their team. This strategic role involves providing expert leadership in legal compliance, risk management, and strategic decision-making as the business expands. The successful candidate will have a legal background, a business mindset, and a deep understanding of life sciences, finance, and operations. They will be a trusted strategic partner, collaborating closely with the CEO, and must be prepared to take on a highly visible role in a start-up environment. Responsibilities include serving as the lead corporate and legal advisor, fostering cross-collaboration, supporting daily and strategic operations, managing the contract and negotiation processes, and ensuring the safeguarding of intellectual property. The role also requires a strong work ethic, dedication to professional excellence, and the ability to work remotely with some travel.Applicants for the Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution, active Bar Association membership, and at least 10 years of corporate legal experience in a rapidly evolving environment. Previous in-house experience in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry is preferred, with a focus on the drug discovery and development process. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in drafting various contracts, adept negotiation skills, a track record of strategic planning, budget management, and reporting. Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish and English is also preferred.
