About the Role

The Company is in search of a General Counsel to join their innovative team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the organization, overseeing all legal matters and providing strategic guidance to the executive team. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, managing risk, and supporting business objectives. The General Counsel will also serve as the Corporate Secretary, advising senior management and the board of directors on legal, compliance, and related matters, and will be responsible for a range of activities including contract management, policy development, and intellectual property protection.Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, be admitted to the state bar, and have at least 10 years' of relevant legal experience, preferably in the software industry or a law firm serving software clients. Expertise in contracts, compliance, litigation, intellectual property, corporate governance, and employment law is essential. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong business acumen and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and must uphold high ethical standards and integrity.
