General Summary:

This position will analyze operational cost performance indicators and ensure the completeness and reliability of the information produced and communicated. As a result, this position will contribute to strategic decision-making in the DC and maintain an effective control structure to minimize the risk of errors, irregularities, and fraud related to processes.

Essential Job Functions:

· Work closely with the Director to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity.

· Set up systems and processes for the costing function, this includes the full range of Cost Accounting activities.

· Work closely with Supply Chain to provide them with support relating to cost-related matters.

· Participate in the preparation of the annual plant operating budget.

· Ensure quality control over financial reporting and KPIs.

· Assist in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets, audits, and report variances.

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

· Collaborate on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including contributing to the preparation of consolidated financial statements.

· Gather, summarize, and analyze a significant amount of transactional data and make reasonable conclusions to facilitate key accounting and business decisions.

· Ensure that inventory transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

· Continually drive improvement of a standard costing system to provide management with better information for decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Exceptional analytical skills and clear communication style.

· Proactive, solution-oriented problem solver.

· Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization, including individuals outside of the finance function, across multiple time zones.

· Meet tight timelines and make key recommendations and decisions.

· Must be a power user of Microsoft Excel.

· Good organizational skills.

· Professional attitude.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting required, CPA and/or CIMA preferred.

· 3 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting experience with cost knowledge, and/or Controllership functions.

· Experience in distribution/manufacturing environments preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
