SUMMARY

The Facilities Director is responsible for the overall operations of our residential facility to include facilities/maintenance, building expansion, transportation management, food services management. This position will ensure the facility runs efficiently and in compliance with all contract requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility Operations:

  • Coordinate property management to include preventative maintenance contracts and daily scheduling of maintenance personnel
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance, repairs, or replacements, as expertise permits.
  • Notify and follow up with outside contractors to complete repairs and installations approved by senior management.
  • As directed, travel onsite where repairs or maintenance is needed.
  • Responsible for project management and the bid process for building construction and renovations while maintaining communications with senior management.
  • Manage the acquisition of furnishings and equipment as directed by senior management.
  • Conduct or assign a designee to conduct necessary inspections, which will include but will not be limited to Health and Safety Inspections as outlined in company policy.
  • Work with senior management with capital improvement project budgets, facility renovation budgets and preventative maintenance budgets.
  • Responsible for bidding of all repair and maintenance in accordance with purchase/bid policy
  • Coordinate and serve as chair of the Safety Committee and perform periodic facilities inspections.
  • Responsible for organization and storage of client records (paper forms).
  • Assure ongoing compliance of all facilities with contract requirements.

Facilities Management:

  • Responsible for all aspects of building and campus maintenance for the organization.
  • Oversee and coordinate all facility building expansion and moving projects.
  • Supports administrative and program objectives company-wide and is responsible for property management and safety programs organization-wide.
  • Maintain and monitor budget, including CAPEX.

Transportation Management:

  • In conjunction with department head, provide direction for the Transportation Department by setting goals, objectives, and establishing performance and financial standards, as measured by the company’s performance management and benchmarking.
  • In conjunction with department head, provide supervision and guidance to Transportation Supervisor.

Food Services Management:

  • Oversee Food Services Department. Provide supervision and guidance to Food Services Manager.
  • In conjunction with the Food Services Manager, ensure adherence to Company Policy, Quality Assurance and Nutritional Menu Planning; This includes working within a monthly budget, placing orders.
  • In conjunction with the Food Services Manager, ensure the kitchen is maintained per Florida Department of Health standards, and ensuring the proper cooking, cleaning, preparing and storing of food.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; master’s degree in related field is preferred.

A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Must have experience managing building expansion projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Computer literate, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, (or similar applications), Windows, and Internet capabilities.

· Ability to operate general office equipment in the completion of job responsibilities.

· Must possess highly developed customer service skills.

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal relationship skills.

· Must possess excellent time-management, decision-making, and organization skills.

· Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all coworkers and the public and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.

· Ability to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals. This includes the ability to help build a constructive team spirit where team members are committed to the goals and objectives of the team.
