Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced New York commercial litigator with experience litigating in SDNY/EDNY. Experience litigating trade secrets cases and/or possessing a technical background would be helpful. This is a freelance position which may involve oral argument, drafting correspondence with the court, drafting pleadings, taking depositions and preparing litigation budgets. You would be of counsel to the firm and you would have the primary responsibility to oversee and litigate your cases.

Pay is $75/hr. You must be able to attend court conferences in person and do in-person oral argument when the judge requires it. If interested please send resume and cover letter (if you wish.) We are going to need recent deposition transcripts as well as motions you have made, argued, etc. The transcripts can wait until after the interview because they may need to be redacted, but be prepared for us to confirm your qualifications. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in federal court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of New York
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a commercial litigator, with a focus on federal court cases
- Strong knowledge of federal court rules and procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document review
- Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
