Growing automotive company has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Fixed Operations. The Director of Fixed Operations is responsible for the successful operation of fixed operation departments of the automotive dealerships. They will assist in the development and execution of plans to ensure fixed operations obtain a reasonable profit. They will accomplish objectives through planning, motivating and coordinating the activities of all fixed operation departments.

Total Compensation Range: $225,000 - $275,000 annually with company car

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning dealership fixed operations for each year and report the plan to the President.
• Monthly analysis and comparisons to fixed operating standards.
• Review and recommend the compensation plans for fixed operation department personnel.
• Ensure fixed operation department employees are training and supervising employees for optimum effectiveness.
• Provide positive leadership to build morale of fixed operation department employees.
• Resolve any customer complaints that Operations Directors have not been able to resolve at the facility level (fixed operations).
• Administration of First Extended service contract pricing, policies, procedures and claims approval. Maintain contacts with company representatives of First Extended. Monitor dealership performance.
• Coordinate dealership CSI and VOC monthly performance reporting.
• Support fixed operation departments in all automotive dealerships. Ensure dealership compliance to manufacturers policies and procedures manual.
• Ensure that all dealerships have a process for parts cycle counts.
• Ensure that inspections (MPIs) are completed on all units.
• Monitor dealership warranty expense. Conduct warranty self audits.
• Coordinate equipment and special tool purchases and repairs (all automotive manufacturers, major equipment companies, etc.).
• Coordinate supplier contracts (electronic service menus, electronic vehicle inspection reports, service merchandising, service follow-up direct mailings, oil companies, body shop paint distributors, uniforms, etc.).
• Compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Understand and ensure dealership compliance with rules and regulations governing fixed operating departments.
• Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policies.

Requirements:

• Must be able to travel at least 50%.
• Strong background in automotive fixed operations management
• At least 6 years of experience in Senior leadership
• Track record of driving process improvement initiatives
