Confidential is Hiring a Corporate Recruiter Near Sherman Oaks, CA

This position is responsible for the recruitment of talent for our apartment home communities and our corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes recruitment solutions working closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, candidate profiles, and skill-matching requirements;
  • Develops recruitment strategy based on hiring needs for Corporate and Field positions;
  • Manages open requisitions including candidate pipeline management, requisition candidate and expense tracking;
  • Generates reports for the HR Director related to time to fill, cost per hire, candidate source, new hire tracking, diversity initiatives, attrition and retention;
  • Provides customer service to job applicants and candidates ensuring these receive the necessary information as they navigate our selection process;
  • Works closely with the HR Director and Hiring Managers to identify internal and external talent pools;
  • Responsible for the development of job advertisements including where necessary the development of job descriptions intended to meet hiring requirements and represent the company brand;
  • Sets and coordinates interviews for hiring managers and acts as main point of contact for all recruitment activities for the candidate;
  • Screens all applicants. Reviews applicant resumes to determine skills, experience and knowledge requirements;
  • Maintain applicant-tracking data and provide monthly/quarterly/annual ad-hoc reports as requested;
  • Builds recruiting resources by conducting research, cold calling passive talent, networking for referrals and using social media, such as LinkedIn and Facebook, to identify viable candidates;
  • Conducts telephone prescreening interviews and reference checks; schedules on-site interviews with candidates and selection officials; prepares and coordinates as necessary.
  • Develops and coordinates short and long term recruitment and staffing plans.
  • Develops strategies responsive to management needs; aggressively targets under represented areas and passive candidates.
  • Develops and prepares job vacancy announcements, drafts and places media advertisements.
  • Develops and utilizes external applicant referral sources.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

  • BA/BS in related field plus at least 3 years’ OR HS Diploma or equivalent plus at least 5 years’ recruiting experience within a large, complex organization or high volume, fast-paced working environment; A minimum of 2 years of previous property management staffing industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of general human resource topics (recruiting, application process, interviewing, hiring) is required
  • Knowledge of specialized human resource topics (turnover analysis, job skills analysis, staff development) preferred
  • General knowledge of occupational requirements
  • Ability to listen to hiring managers and understand specific candidate qualifications required to meet employers’ needs
  • Ability to listen to candidates and assess suitability and interest in employer positions
  • Ability to works well in teams and collaborative environments
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, or related office productivity suite is required.
  • Must be comfortable with conducting business transactions via telephone, computer as well as meeting clients and candidates face-to-face.
  • Results oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to excel in a in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to regularly travel to multiple property locations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs. regularly and up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
  • This position works indoors in low to moderate noise levels.
  • The incumbent is required to sit, stand and walk frequently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
