We have been serving the Central Oregon area since 1999. Collins & Sons offers a wide range of excavation services focusing on small commercial and large, custom residential projects.

Collins & Sons is currently looking for an Operator to join their team. Come join a growing company with exciting internal growth opportunities!

The list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Maintaining, fueling equipment and notifying supervisor of equipment repairs
• Preparing required documentation accurately and timely
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of equipment and product technology
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe, timely, accurate and efficient manner observing all safety laws, policies and rules.
• Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and/or co-workers
• Operating heavy equipment – excavator, skidsteer, grader, dozer etc.
• Hand digging, pipe install and ground assistance as needed.
• Aware are follow safety standards and practices.
• Mass excavation, fine grading, underground utilities (storm, sewer, water) installation and reading plans and shooting grades.
• Meet schedule set by foreman and Project Manager.
• Comfortably navigate the basics of a Topcon GPS rover and tablet.

* Certifications and CDL welcome.

Requirements:

• Employee must have a minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience in construction field.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills required
• Must be a team player and willing to perform multiple duties as the need arises
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and self-driven
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and a DVR acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier as needed
• Willing and able to work long hours and in varying conditions

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
