Confidential is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Arlington, TX

Basic Function/Job Overview:

This position is responsible for the input of drawings into the CNC program(s) to program machinery to cut various parts for custom cabinetry and related millwork and casework products. The CNC Programmer will run equipment and back-up operators as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Program cabinet parts to be machined on CNC Router and Panel Saw.
  • Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time and increase productivity.
  • Optimize materials.
  • Specify feed speeds and spindle speeds for optimal cutting.
  • Verify all parts are nested and programmed.
  • Verify all parts are programmed using specified materials.
  • Verify correct tools are specified.
  • Submit material requirements requests.

Essential Duties & Requirements:

  • Ability to use hands to operate woodwork manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to table saw, router, chop saw, glue guns, clamps, sanders, and table routers.
  • Focus on details and quality standards.
  • Stand, sit, stoop and move from location to location.
  • Regularly lift and/or move items from ten (10) pounds to 150 pounds.
  • Handle full sheets of solid surface material.
  • Read and understand shop drawings and blueprints in English.
  • Work extended hours to meet deadlines.
  • Work in an enclosed woodworking manufacturing environment which is heated and cooled based on the weather but may not always have an optimal temperature.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2 to 5 years’ custom cabinetry or millwork CNC programming experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Working knowledge/skills of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of materials used in construction of cabinets - architectural millwork.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in any or all these design/programming software programs: Cabinet Ware, Cabinet Vision, Building Blocks, Alpha Cam, Cut-Rite, Micro-Vellum.
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel.
  • Familiarity of woodworking machinery, including: Panel Saws, Beam Saws, CNC Routers.
  • Working knowledge of assembly methods, joinery methods used in construction of cabinets and/or millwork.
  • Nest-based programming.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
