About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, who will also serve as the Chief Financial Officer. This executive will play a pivotal role in supporting the institution's strategic priorities, including academic and workforce initiatives, student success, and financial sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the College's fiscal health, demonstrating a commitment to high ethical and professional standards, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Essential duties include financial reporting and planning, budget preparation, investment, cash and debt management, and oversight of business services. The role also involves general supervision and management, public and intergovernmental relations, and a strong focus on service excellence.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, with at least ten years of professional experience in financial management and fund accounting. A minimum of five years of experience in managing and leading people is required. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or CPA certification, financial leadership experience within an Ohio Community College, and experience in a collective bargaining environment. Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and to provide education on financial concepts. The role demands a self-sufficient, hands-on manager with the ability to handle key functions related to finance and accounting.
