We are looking for a competent Accounts Receivable/Collection Specialist to contact customers and collect outstanding payments. You will strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments.

Our Accounts Receivable/Collection Specialist should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customer by phone/email to finalize collection of outstanding debts
• Maintain professional and friendly relationships with customers while still collecting payments on time and in full
• Record cash, check, credit card, wire, EFT and other payment types into accounting software
• Establish new accounts and credit terms with customers by running credit references
• Respond to daily account queries and inbound calls and settle customer disputes
• Monitor outstanding balance against set credit limit and escalate when the limit is exceeded
• Prevent and resolve collections issues by establishing credit terms and limits
• Maintain accurate records and notes
• Send monthly statements
• Communicate with order entry and logistics staff with regards to past due clients and account holds
• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure that customer’s payments are applied correctly to invoices to avoid/correct discrepancies
• Consistent customer follow up

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• A/R and Collections experience
• Thoroughness
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Patience and ability to manage stress
• Problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
