Overview:
As the IT Manager for our bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our IT systems. You will lead a team responsible for managing the bank's infrastructure, networks, and software applications. Your expertise will be vital in implementing new technologies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

· Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.

· Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.

· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

2. Infrastructure Management:

· Oversee the bank's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.

· Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of all infrastructure components.

· Implement best practices for infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.

3. Network Security:

· Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the bank's network from cyber threats.

· Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and take proactive steps to mitigate security risks.

· Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and industry best practices.

4. Software/Application Management:

· Manage the deployment and maintenance of software applications used by the bank, including core banking systems, CRM software, and productivity tools.

· Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely software updates and patches.

· Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support to end-users.

5. Compliance and Regulation:

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS, GLBA, and FDIC guidelines.

· Maintain documentation and records to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.

· Collaborate with internal audit teams and regulatory agencies during audits and examinations.

6. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize the impact of IT outages and disasters.

· Conduct regular tests and drills to evaluate the effectiveness of disaster recovery procedures.

· Work closely with other departments to ensure business continuity in the event of a disruption.

7. Vendor Management:

· Evaluate and select third-party vendors for IT products and services, such as hardware, software, and cloud services.

· Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure favorable terms for the bank.

· Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

8. Technical Support:

· Provide technical support and assistance to bank employees, resolving escalated issues in a timely manner.

· Serve as a point of contact for IT-related inquiries and collaborate with other teams to resolve complex problems.

· Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the IT skills of bank employees.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

· 5 years of experience in IT management roles in the banking or financial services industry required.

· Strong technical background in infrastructure management, network security, and software/application support.

· Experience with regulatory compliance and familiarity with industry standards and guidelines.

· Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ITIL are desirable.
