Concessionaire II (3) Three Positions

Heritage Theater

Department of Tribal Administration

Hourly Wage: $15.74/Regular/Part-Time

Responsible for performing all phases of theater operations. Position requires working days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Follows protocol in detail for opening and closing of all point-of-sale registers in the Theater. Prepares and completes all paperwork timely and accurately to include closing reconciliation reports, accounts receivables, ordering supplies, stocking, and inventory. Is required to operate theater equipment, digital sound system, digital video projector, popcorn machine, stage lighting, and pop dispenser machines. Perform theater maintenance and janitorial duties. Maintain cleanliness of entire concessions area including cooking equipment, counters, glass display cases, condiment areas, preparation areas and stock room shelves. Ensure security of all point-of-sale registers including box office ticket sales. Capability to communicate and collaborate effectively with guests in a fast-paced high-volume setting. Proficient communication skills with customers, supervisor, coworkers, and vendors.


Examples of Work Performed:

Prepare opening of registers and concession area. Counts and verifies opening, closing banks and deposits for each register. Make sure change bank is sufficient. Re-stock candy, juice, ice, cups, popcorn bags, and prepare nachos, hotdogs, and popcorn prior to customer arrival.

Work any special event bookings out of regular scheduled movie showings.

Make sure restrooms are cleaned and restocked daily.

Maintain popcorn and pop dispensers, make sure they are wiped down inside and out to avoid any buildup of grease, and syrup. Wipe down hotdog and nacho chip machine.

Maintain inventory count of all theater candy, paper products, condiments, beverages, supplies, and reorder as needed.

Operates theater digital sound system, digital video projector, point of sale registers, popcorn and pop dispenser/canisters and carpet extractor.

Maintain cleanliness of the auditorium, stage, restrooms, dressing rooms, upstairs digital room, kitchen, concessions, equipment, utensils, box office and janitorial room. Mops auditorium, restrooms, and other areas as needed.

Dispose of all garbage daily and wash out garbage cans as needed.

Vacuum carpet areas and shampoo carpet areas as needed, wash windows and counter tops daily.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of operating point-of-sale software, and digital projector.

Knowledge of movie industry and movie ratings.

Knowledge of gift certificate sales.

Knowledge of inventory control and cost-effective pricing.

Skill in operation of theater concession equipment and ability to oversee technical issues.

Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to be prompt, trustworthy and efficient at all times.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with guests, coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.

Ability to manage and work under stressful situations, or under high volume settings. Ability to greet guests, assemble food orders, operate point-of-sale terminal, and make accurate change quickly.

Ability to manage and make quick decisions in emergent situations for the safety of employees and customers.

Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a team setting and or multi-task.

Ability to lift heavy boxes and containers of at least 30 - 50 lbs.


Minimum Requirements

Must possess a high school diploma or GED AND or any work history demonstrating the ability to perform the job.

Must be physically active to lift heavy boxes and stand on feet for extended periods of time.

Must possess a CPR/First aid and food handler's card within 6 months of hire.

Required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
