Cone Health Employee Health & Wellness is Hiring a Radiographer Near Burlington, NC

Overview

This position is responsible to maintain regulatory and professional standards and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities.

A close working relationship with Radiology leadership, radiologists, and the medical staff is required to maintain a cost-effective and patient-focused service.

This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing Diagnostic Radiology procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols.

Employees in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology equipment. Radiologic Technologists are authorized to handle and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology processes and procedures.

Competencies are completed through the Radiology department. Talent Pool; Allied Health

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose as low as reasonably achievable.

Direct supervision is not required for any procedures the student radiographer has a demonstrated competency. Exam productivity is within established benchmark.

Consistently completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS. Consistently and accurately identifies all charges associated with studies.

Addresses errors and resolves issues related to final product being sent to PACS.

Consistently demonstrates commitment to safe practices and supports Just Culture. Commitment to use Two for Two to accurately identify patients, follows procedures to avoid laterality errors, eliminate falls and ALARA.

Completes all annual competencies by designated timeframe.

Exemplary model using AIDET, service excellence and service recovery.

Assists with patient transport as necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION : High School Diploma or equivalent, Required

High school diploma or equivalent. Current enrollment and in good standing in a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.

EXPERIENCE : None LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRY / LISTING : REQUIRED
