Survey Technician
CPC is a regionally known, full-service heavy-civil contractor, specializing in building highways, airfields, streets and local roads. In business for 60 years, CPC’s primary market areas include the Rocky Mountain regions of the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities
The technician will be responsible for set up and operation of survey equipment (Total Stations, GPS, Machine Guidance Equipment, Radios, etc.) while performing fine grading and concrete paving control. Technician will be responsible for gathering and inputting survey data on a job-by-job basis. The technician will be responsible for achieving optimum utilization of the equipment. Strong technical knowledge of GPS and Total Stations systems and grade control is a must. The GPS/Grade Checker will work cooperatively with all other CPC operations in the production and placement of high quality pavements.
Applicant must be able and willing to work on remote projects, work under ever changing weather conditions and long hours. Good communication skills are required and an ability to focus on tasks at hand, be a self-motivator, and work well with others. Base hourly wage $25.00 - $30.00 W/ Health insurance, Benefits and Vacation and Davis Bacon classification will be established with specific experience and qualifications. Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
Qualifications
· 1-3 years of relevant experience in grading work on highway and airfield project(s) with Leica or similar equipment.
· Computer skills in Cad, Excel, and Word.
· Excellent people skills & works well with others – team player!
· Valid ID, Valid Driver’s License. Background check, and drug screening are required for all applicants.
