Position Summary
Concordia University is seeking applications for the full-time faculty position of Director of Graduate School and Professional Counseling. This position is in the School of Education, directly reports to the Director of Graduate Education. An ideal candidate will hold a doctorate in counseling or a counseling-related field, be eligible for or willing to work toward appropriate Wisconsin counseling licensure, and have prior experience in the counseling field. In addition to the program administration, six credits of teaching are included in the responsibilities of this position. This position could be up to 80% virtual/remote for the right candidate.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include program administration; teaching courses at the graduate level; advising students; assisting with portfolio adjudication; and participating in interdepartmental faculty committees, academic scholarship, and university service. Education and Experience
A doctorate in counseling or a related field is preferred. Candidates must be Christian, and a commissioned minister of religion in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is preferred. Prior experience in professional counseling practice and prior college teaching experience is desirable.
