Overview

As the Client Services Associate, you will help our business prioritize existing and new clients (typically songwriters) by ensuring excellent service in all administrative services with respect to song delivery, registration, exploitation, reporting and payment. Primarily, this person will interact with clients and provide details and information from and to songwriter clients. This person will be involved in finding solutions that help our clients, ensure improved processes and communication, prevent mistakes, and help our company grow its market share and reputation. This role entails primarily operational / administrative tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with Music catalog logging / reporting / maintenance for Concord Music Publishing roster, working closely with A&R teams to ensure all songs are delivered and registered 
  • Coordinating with Copyright to effectively address song-registration issues and inquiries 
  • Assist in the song delivery process and global release tracking processes
  • Be a key contact to writers and our creative teams for assistance with: 

o Song delivery o Release information o Song registration requirements and status o Synch opportunities o Royalty and Statement details o Payment information o Client banking and tax details 

  • Assist in ensuring all clients are setup and can be paid (expired W-9s, bad addresses, etc.) 
  • Satisfactorily resolve queries, concerns and issues in a timely manner 
  • Help implement processes for improving client services 
  • Maintain business relationships and provide excellent communication to existing clients 
  • Provide demos and assist clients in using our client products (Royalty Portal) 
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as needed 

Qualifications

What you need:

  • BA in Music Business or related field preferred 
  • At least 2 years of experience working full-time in publishing administration (copyright or royalties preferred) 
  • Must be proficient with Excel, specifically utilizing formulas to organize and analyze large sets of data
  • Experience in royalty system software (iMaestro, Music Maestro etc.) 
  • Experience in workflow solution software (e.g. SmartSheets, Air Table) an asset 
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented and able to handle confidential materials 
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure 
  • Must be patient but diligent in resolving and completing projects. 
  • Must be able to interact fluidly with all departments and all levels of employees. 
  • Must be able to work well under pressure. 
  • Must demonstrate good judgment 

This job is hyrbid- requiring 3 days a week minumum on site.
