Concierge Group is Hiring a Logistics Coordinator Near Atlanta, GA

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate route planning and

dispatch support for the company delivery operation. Under limited supervision,

performs a variety of clerical duties such as typing, filing and checking freight and

installing bills for accuracy. Contacts clients by phone or mail for clarification or changes

in schedule and/or pricing.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service

and schedules.

  • Schedule or dispatch workers or service vehicles to appropriate locations,

according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using the program

provided.

  • Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors,

or field inspectors, using telephones.

  • Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems,

or requests for service or equipment.

  • Prepare daily work and run schedules.
  • Maintains visibility on warehouse operations and coordinates with Warehouse

Manager to ensure product availability to fulfill customer orders

  • Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services

performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information.

  • Receive or prepare work orders.
  • Determine types or amounts of materials, or personnel required, according to

work orders or specifications.

  • Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents,

congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards.

  • Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
  • Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word

processing.

  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
  • Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients and/or customers.
  • Order and dispense supplies.

Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and

implemented.

  • Plan optimal routing solutions to support successful execution of delivery

operation responsibilities.

  • Provide daily dispatch for delivery drivers by alternate routing, exception

handling, incident response and answering questions on customer accounts,

special instructions and protocols.

  • Coordinate solutions with Customer Care to resolve customer issues.
  • Effectively engage and communicate with clients at all levels of the organization

during the delivery process to earn their confidence and trust

  • Provide data reporting and analysis on Key Performance Indicators in the

division regularly

  • Complete detailed and quantitative analysis and clearly articulate findings and

recommendations.

  • Conduct client interviews and document current State documentation in process

flows that illustrate pain points.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School degree and some college coursework or an Associates Degree or

higher in a business-related field.

  • 2 years of related job experience, or equivalent
  • Excellent executive-level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal. Additional languages are a

plus.

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word

processing, managing files and records.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills are a must.
  • Ability to learn and assimilate information quickly.
  • Enthusiast, strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment with no direct

supervision.

Desired Competencies:

Necessary skills include, but are not limited to, ability to communicate effectively with a

professional demeanor to company team members across all divisions and locations,

attention to detail, ability to analyze mapping systems, utilize web-based (SaaS)

mapping resources, use Microsoft and Google programs.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good computer skills and knowledge of company specific databases. Broad knowledge

of procedures and practices of transportation and distribution methods.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or educational equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience.

  • Play a hands-on role in the day-to-day delivery of Integrated Demand & Supply

Planning solutions to our clients.

  • Conduct standard business / technology assessments depending on project scope and

client needs.

  • Identify data needs for a given project, formulate the data request, and work with clients

to obtain and model the data for analysis.

  • Use capability maturity models to baseline the client business processes and identify

gaps for improvement.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement, build the business case for change, and prioritize

for execution.

  • Concisely complete deliverable content as required for each client.
  • Present your analysis and findings to project and client leadership for acceptance and

approval.

  • In most cases, the primary duties will depend on the project scope and the candidate's

specific role within the team. Most roles require a high level of interaction with clients,

ability to perform analytical work (Excel/Access/SQL, etc) and present

recommendations via PowerPoint/other formats to the senior leadership team.
