The Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) Coordinator is responsible for bringing awareness to mental health and substance use challenges by promoting, coordinating, and conducting Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to individuals in the Concho Valley. The MHAT Coordinator is responsible for successful completion of Adult and Youth MHFA trainer courses and maintaining MHFA certifications. The MHAT Coordinator will work closely with the MHFA Coordinator/Outreach Worker for expanding the current MHFA program within MHMRCV. This coordination will include constant communication, tracking of classes, outreach, trainer certifications, etc. The MHAT Coordinator will develop a marketing, outreach, and training plan to reach local schools (public and private), families of teenage youth, higher education, service member and their families, veterans, law enforcement, emergency services personnel, community agencies and the general public.
MHAT Coordinator must consistently demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse population of individuals. MHAT Coordinator must consistently reflect a positive image which supports the positive image of MHMRCV. The MHAT Coordinator must demonstrate the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate the MHFA plan.
