The IDD Community Services Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and proper implementation of all waiver services as defined by the Texas Department of Health & Human Services, IDD Division. Specific job duties include but are not limited to: employee hiring, monitoring, scheduling, time management, reviewing performance, reviewing consumer, family and guardian satisfaction, monitoring of services provided to assure programs are in continuous compliance with HCS, TxHmL, and general revenue rules and guidelines, assisting with encounter data, electronic visit verification and billing. Additional duties include: directing and supervising Community Support services provided through IDD General Revenue services. The goal of the IDD Community Services Program Manager is to assist each person enrolled to achieve and realize personal outcomes and become as independent as possible.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in human service or business administration supplemented by behavioral/human service courses, preferred.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working with and/or training persons with intellectual disabilities.
  • HS diploma and 3 years paid experience working with and/or training persons with intellectual disabilities.
  • At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a field relevant to the assignment

ESSENTIAL TASKS

  • Knowledge of basic record keeping, report writing, and personnel management
  • Ability to establish programs and training for consumers.
  • Ability and emotional stability to handle crisis situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with supervisors, co-workers, subordinates, consumers, and their families.
  • Ability to recruit and retain professional and paraprofessionals.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work initiatives and schedules.
  • Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions to staff.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License required and reliable transportation.
  • Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • Must be insurable and remain insurable on Center’s insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must obtain PMAB and FA/CPR certification after hire.
  • Must be able to complete all MHMR Concho Valley training.

SHIFT

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (days and times may vary).
