Security Architect Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Security Architect specializing in cloud and security technologies to join our dynamic team. The Security Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions for our cloud-based infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud security principles, security domain architecture, reference architecture, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure the integrity and security of our cloud environment.
Job Responsibilities:
? Conduct risk assessments and create security reference architecture, identifying
potential vulnerabilities and recommending mitigating controls.
? Must be able to review new / existing products / applications against cyber security
? Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices
into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps processes.
? Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies in the cloud computing
space, evaluating new tools and techniques to enhance our security posture.
? Define and enforce security policies and procedures for cloud deployments, ensuring
compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
? Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security best practices and
procedures, delivering training sessions and workshops as needed.
? Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud security matters, providing technical
leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Master's
degree preferred.
? 8 years of experience in a security architect role, with a focus on cloud security.
? Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, with experience
working with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
? Proficiency in designing and implementing security controls for cloud-based systems,
including knowledge of relevant tools and technologies.
? Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CSA, and
GDPR.
? Experience with scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, or
Bash.
? Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex
technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
? Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or
equivalent are highly desirable.
