We are currently looking to hire a Security Specialist to join our team embedded with our client in New York! This position requires working onsite at our client's Headquarters in New York City, NY.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Security Specialist will provide safe and timely vehicle transport for the client and their guests in and around New York City as well as assist in a variety of protective operations tasks. This role is expected to perform the following functions: develop and execute advance work/route planning, maintain vehicle servicing requirements, assist the Protective Lead in coordination and operational deployment of protective resources. The Security Specialist is expected to work directly with the Principal, their guests, internal and external stakeholders, and key business partners to deliver best in class security services. Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work collaboratively, attention to detail, and process orientation are fundamental to the success of this position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a “white-glove” driving service as the personal driver for the client and guests, operating the vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner while ensuring the safety and security of passengers during transit
• Develop and execute operation plans, advance route and alternative route planning, and advance work
• Conduct site surveys for events ranging from casual to Head-of-State level events
• Identify threats and intervenes along route when appropriate
• Render aid in event of accident and other safety hazards
• Coordinate logistics and plan all details relating to the Principal’s physical location, including movements in, out and around site while preparing for emergencies and other contingencies
• Work with home office staff /security teams to ensure coordinated pick-up/drop-off routine
• Conduct vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level
• Identify, track, log, and coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance requirements 
• Under the direction and supervision of the Protective Lead develop and implement internal processes and procedures
• Under the direction and supervision of the Protective Lead, assist in managing general security duties (i.e., vehicle security, residential security, and other small projects)
• As directed by the Protective Lead, travel with the Principal for special events
• Maintain excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverables
• Proactively communicate with the client regarding identified delays or other route issues.
• Understand, conform with, and abide by all Local, State, and Federal laws/regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of equivalent or relevant industry experience
• Operational experience driving high-profile executives or high net-worth passengers
• Defensive Driving and/or EVOC certifications
• LEOSA certification/ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm
• May be required to obtain a guard card
• Current New York Driver’s License with flawless driving record
• Thorough understanding of laws and regulations related to personal driver services
• Well-versed with driving in and around the state of New York
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Operational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details, and/or high-profile corporate security teams 
• Emotional intelligence and a customer focused approach 
• A successful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environment 
• Ability to adapt well to fast paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
• Ability to remain calm under stressful driving conditions
• High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with senior leadership
• Demonstrated computer skills, including Google Suite and MS Office applications
• Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles
• This position requires up to 25% travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Executive Protection and/or Tactical training preferred
• New York Chauffeur/Limousine license
• Currently holding or ability to obtain state required limousine permits.
• Advanced medical training (EMT, WEMT, WFR, TCCC/TECC)
• Working knowledge and comfortable with use of communication apps (ie. Signal, Telegram)
