As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will maintain systems and records for verifying process compliance including: SPC, HACCP, Quality Systems, Food Safety, SQF, Formula Control, Laboratory Procedures, and documentation verification; To ensure SQF (Safe Quality Food); the highest efficiency while adhering to Quality Standards. You will work in our St. Elmo, Illinois manufacturing facility and report to the QA Supervisor/Manager.

You Will:

• Maintain systems and records for verifying process compliance including HACCP, Quality Systems, and Laboratory Procedures.

• Verify all quality, food safety and sanitation checks performed by operations and sanitation.

• Complete pre-operation inspections and swabbing.

• Process monitoring and auditing for compliance with GMP, SQF and Safety

• Analytical testing of ingredients and finished product

• Administration of the plant quality system (Hold Policy, Weight Control, Allergen Program, Documentation Control and SQF Certification Maintenance)

• You will follow OSHA and Plant safety rules.

• You will assist quality supervisor in maintaining quality and food safety records/manuals and training new employees.

• Complete hold & release program for incoming sampling/outgoing shipments

• Other duties or projects assigned.

You Have:

• Represent the QA department throughout the St. Elmo facility and contribute to a team environment by working well with others in and outside of the QA department.

• Demonstrate creative/analytical problem-solving skills and approaches to resolve complex problems.

• You must be willing to work first, second or third shifts and weekends and work hours before and after assigned shift.

• This position is required to work in an environment with variable conditions including hot, cold, wet and loud.

• Occasionally lift items up to 35 pounds and climb ladders.

• Work with and around chemicals.
