This is a full-time position request that you be able to work in the office for 37-40 hours per week. From time to time, you may be asked to work overtime to meet court deadlines or to prepare for trial.

Initial employment compensation will be based on your experience, with opportunities for increases based on performance.

$23 - $27 hourly

• Required to complete 30 hours of billable work per week (Daily time entry expected)
• Draft and E-file court documents with limited grammatical/formatting errors
• Schedule & calendar hearings, mediations, and depositions
• Work with clients to gather financial documents and prepare for production
• Ability to move the case forward from beginning to end
• Experienced handling mandatory disclosures, calculating and meeting discovery deadlines
• Prepare financial records for trial
• Ability to calculate child support guidelines
• Assist assigned attorney, as needed

• Minimum 2 years experience working in a law firm setting handling primarily family law cases as a paralegal or a position with similar responsibilities
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Knows how to calculate court deadlines
• Excellent time management skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to speak to clients with compassion and understanding
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not required
