Comserve Wireless is Hiring a District Manager Near Richmond, VA

JOB SUMMARY
The function of the District Manager (DM) is to oversee the overall operation of retail stores within an assigned territory. The DM is tasked with ensuring the various retail stores are running smoothly and that the stores meet their sales goals and training requirements. This is accomplished through consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through proactively recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and developing Store Managers (SM) and Sales Associates (SA). DMs may have to discipline SM and SA as needed under the leadership of the Executive Team; therefore, strong communication and leadership skills are required. DMs must continuously check in on individual stores to make sure the stores are stocked, clean, and in proper working order.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Takes complete responsibility for the oversight of all assigned locations. DMs must keep the staff motivated, resolve conflicts, and make hard decisions; ultimately, the buck stops with you!
  • Acts as a wireless knowledge base for all ComServe locations, assisting employees in creating custom solutions and resolving issues. Must possess intricate product knowledge of all Verizon products and services.
  • Champions the ComServe cause and takes part in daily interactions that keep employees motivated and excited to work at ComServe.
  • Responsible for the attainment of all sales goals assigned to their respective stores. • Ensures all store locations meet or exceed the established standards in organization, appearance, and customer service as set forth by ComServe, TCC, WZ, and Verizon. This includes routine daily, monthly, and annual audits of each store.
  • Work side by side with SMs and SAs to improve sales processes, ensuring that all staff members have a thorough knowledge of all products and services, can effectively use closing skills, overcome objections, and use consultative selling techniques.
  • Attend scheduled meetings requested by the Executive Team, TCC, WZ, or Verizon.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Team to establish Sales Goals and holds each SM and SA accountable to their attainment.
  • Participate in human resource objectives by actively recruiting, hiring, training, and developing employees.
  • Identify disciplinary issues with staff, relaying to Human Resources, and work to resolve them by counseling employees and/or providing verbal/written warnings as needed. This may lead to the participation in the termination of employees as advised by Human Resources.
  • Performs additional duties and administrative tasks as assigned by the Executive Team.
  • Ensure Payroll Budget is adhered to, to maximize productivity and minimize expenses. This includes approving all store schedules in advance of posting and making necessary changes as needed. Auditing time records daily to ensure compliant and accurate records and submitting adjustments as needed.
  • Mastery of our point-of-sale system and all Verizon and Wireless Zone, WZ online tools, programs, and reporting systems as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS:
  • High school degree required; College Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of wireless retail store management and at least five (5) years of related retail sales experience required; preferably in a fast-paced, telecommunications environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office® Suite and the ability to navigate the Internet is required.
  • Proficiency with RQ4 and OMNI is preferred.

Essential Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Frequently stands for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently uses hands to write or type on a keyboard and maneuver a mouse while performing work on a computer, laptop, or tablet.
  • Must hear and speak sufficiently to receive and understand dialogue and verbally share management information by phone and in-person with diverse individuals.
  • See with or without correction at a level necessary to read handwritten and computer-generated data and small type.
  • The ability to regularly lift 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Employees’ primary base of operation will be at any one of the retail stores within their assigned district on any given day. Some travel to ComServe Headquarters or other locations may be required.
