General description
Join the Fiscal Management team as an Appropriation Control Officer (Financial Analyst I). Work involves being responsible for technical appropriation assistance, financial system support, accounting research, and training and support for large/complicated agencies. Interprets legislative provisions, including the General Appropriations Act (GAA). Monitors state agencies' legislative appropriations and cash activity for compliance with legislative requirements. Provides detailed guidance to agencies on Comptroller policies and procedures. Works with other oversight agencies on various issues including the implementation of legislative mandates, and research and analysis. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The candidate must have the ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply knowledge appropriately in a highly active environment with ever-changing circumstances.
