EXPERIENCED FRONT OFFICE MEDICAL ASSISTANT

VISION CARE EXPERIENCED PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

MONDAY -FRIDAY

We have an opening for a full-time experienced front office medical assistant. Vision care experience is preferred but not required. The position is from Monday to Friday. As a medical front office assistant, you will be serving our patients on the phone and in-person within a large-scale ophthalmic practice. Our front office teams work to assist incoming patient visits and calls, collect payments, and refer our patients to services with patience, positivity, and productivity.

Sierra Nevada Eye Center has two locations in the Reno area and is part of a large network of practices called Comprehensive EyeCare Partners. You can check us out at www.comp-eyecare.com. This is a team role that requires patience, high levels of communication and integrity.

A successful candidate for FRONT OFFICE MEDICAL ASSOCIATE has the following:

• A high school diploma, (some college is excellent!)
• A committed work history that shows longevity and growth
• Experience in a fast-paced OFFICE environment (healthcare or medical office preferred, but not required)
• Experience with insurance payments, appointment scheduling, referrals and patient intake preferred
• Familiarly with computer software and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred)
• Proven work history of EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE, including professional references and completion of a background check.
• The ability to work at different work locations during the day on occasion- clean DMV and/or transportation required.
• An interest in self education and career growth. This is not a job; it is a healthcare career.
