Complete HR Solutions is Hiring a Medical Receptionist - Full Time Near Hopkinton, MA

Start Line Pediatrics is a 3 provider Pediatric practice in Hopkinton, that prioritizes a "town doctor" feel. We are looking for a qualified Medical Receptionist to join our team. This is a 32 hour per week position with competitive pay and benefits. COVID-19 Vaccination is required.
An ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills and is a multitasking, detail oriented team player with previous office experience. Some early evening and minor holiday work may be required.
Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Welcomes patients, checks them in, updates information, verifies insurance and collects co-pays.
  • Answers phones, makes appointments, confirms appointments and reschedules when necessary.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule and the work day flowing by notifying provider of patient's arrival and notifies provider of any delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
  • Assists in checking out patients and assists patients with referral processing and scheduling.
  • Uses and maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Distributes information to patients regarding office policies and practice information.
  • Explains and enrolls patients in the patient portal.
Medical Office Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize with a smile. Must be somewhat flexible, must be detail oriented and able organize efficiently and effectively. Must have excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills as well as computer skills. Must have knowledge of third party payers regulations and requirements, knowledge of insurance verification process and knowledge of electronic health systems (EPIC EMR is a plus). Prefer minimum of 1 year working in a medical office setting. High School Diploma is the minimum education requirement.'
