Complete Health Management is Hiring a Medical Records Specialist Near Orlando, FL

Complete Health Management Corp. is growing rapidly and looking to expand our team. CHMC is in search of Account Managers and Account associates, applicants should have previous experience as an HIM associate or a Medical Records Technician. The ideal candidate will provide support and management of disclosure requests for the accounts assigned to you. As an Account Manager or Account Associate in the Health Information Management Department, you will be responsible for maintaining HIPAA-compliant disclosure processes for the disclosure requests submitted to your team. Teams have assigned accounts that are provided HIM services via the various departments within CHMC.

Responsibilities

  • Calendar management
  • Understand and apply HIPAA regulations to the handling of disclosure requests
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain a high level of output without sacrificing quality and timeline
  • Able to demonstrate and maintain consistent and efficient performance in line with company goals and expectations
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and maintain appropriate technical skills (EMR software, Spreadsheet skills, email skills) to effectively manage the accounts assigned to you
  • Manage communications (e-mail, written, phone, and fax) for the assigned accounts. This includes communicating any changes in procedure, hours of operations, and staff
  • Ensures services are provided in an effective and efficient manner when providing clerical and administrative support to the assigned centers
  • Answers department phone calls in a professional manner and provide customer support as needed for the requestor on the line in a timely manner; take messages and direct calls to appropriate staff members if needed
  • Manage and monitor email correspondence for the assigned accounts
  • Manage and monitor communications with your team members
  • Receive and safeguard releases for the accounts assigned to you
  • Attend regular department meetings.
  • Responding to emails and disclosure requests in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Handles and safeguards confidential information and sensitive material.
  • Utilizes strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Organizes and prioritizes multiple tasks and completes them under time constraints.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, G-Suite, various EMR software including eCW
  • Experience in managing multiple customers, team coordination, and tracking and monitoring release of information processes
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 2 years of experience in a Health Information Management setting
  • Extremely detailed, professional demeanor and service-minded
  • Experience in Healthcare Industry preferred
  • Excellent computer skills- including word documents and spreadsheets
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
  • Experience handling and processing multiple kinds of disclosure requests
  • Self-motivated
  • HIPAA knowledge
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Gives attention to detail and follows instructions
  • Excel under pressure
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Thrive in a fast-paced team
