Complete Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Meridianville, AL

Complete Dental is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our MERIDIANVILLE team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist to provide quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring the comfort of our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during procedures, providing support and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following proper infection control protocols
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient operation of the dental office
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program

- X-ray certification in accordance with state regulations
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g., Open Dental Software) for scheduling and record keeping
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
