Full-Time Infection Preventionist/NPE

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
  • Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors.This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
  • Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a group.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.

License:

  • Must have an Active RN license.
