Complete Care Community Health Center is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Fountain Valley, CA

Title: Nurse Practitioner

Reports To: Medical Director

Responsibility: Provide patient care

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

2. Responsible for advanced level of nursing evaluation.

3. Perform clinical assessment

4. Assesses the condition and care of patients.

5. Prescribe and monitor medications and follow-up care for patient.

6. Provides treatments using therapeutic equipment.

7. Patient and family teaching.

8. Supervises and/or coordinates the activities of patient care and/or support staff.

9. Coordinates care of patients, monitors documentations, and ensures enforcements of rules and regulations, including staff and requirements Performs emergency treatments.

10. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods

11. Performs related work as required.

12. Perform all other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental

regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups

of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

1. MSN/graduate of state approved Nurse Practitioner program in adult and/or acute care specialty. National board certification in specialty. Current license to practice as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner in California, along with continuing education requirements. Prescribing license issued by the State of California and personal DEA number. Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the care and medical management of cardiovascular patients

2. The Nurse Practitioner shall have experience in community based public health programs or clinics providing services to the community.

Should possess current CPR and First Aid certification [or within six months of hire]; in addition to TB clearance [within the year prior to hire or within seven days of hire]. Must possess current health exam [within the year prior to hire or within seven days of hire] indicating individual is capable of performing the job duties. Must be a Team member and as a professional is a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team [MDT] and participates as needed. The number of hours provided (Full-Time position) shall meet the needs of the patients; at a minimum, those required by Title 22, CCR.

Pay: From $70.00 per hour
