Job Summary

Director of Operations oversees the overall success of the Cafes. Maintains the highest level of sanitation and food quality standards at all time. Assures that all employees are well trained, conforming to Bon Appetit and client standards of conduct. Trains, supports and supervises all Cafe Managers and Supervisors, improving productivity and minimizing turnover. Monitors sanitation and safety schedules. Conducts monthly GE4 inspections. Makes executive decisions affecting the operation, following The Client's culture and guidelines, the Health Department's regulations and Bon Appetit standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plans and directs the operation of the assigned accounts in support the Key Performance Indicators
* Will work with culinary team.
* Develops common direction for the team. Sets priorities and makes team agenda and strategy clear to all team members.
* Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures of the region to ensure maximum income from existing accounts.
* Participates in the sales process for the acquisition of new business.
* Monitors financial reports of the accounts to ensure budgetary compliance with Regional and Corporate goals.
* Interfaces with existing clients to maintain client satisfaction and account retention.
* Resolves client and customer satisfaction or employee related complaints which have been elevated from Directors.
* Interfaces with legal and human resources to obtain procedures for various customer and employee related charges.
* Conducts appropriate annual and semi-annual performance evaluations.
* Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policy and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadline.
* Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
* Trains, motivates and develops management personnel to achieve high level of morale and efficient use of human resources.

Qualifications:
* Education: Minimum of four (4) years college education, bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.
* Experience: Previous hotel related experience, progressive management experience in food and beverage operations, minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
* Able to speak clearly and listen attentively to staff, peers, supervisors, guests and client.
* Has a computer skill with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
* Strong passion for great food.
* General culinary knowledge of basic kitchen practices, protocols and procedures.
* Ability to follow all Bon Appetit Health & safety standards.
