Job Summary
Job Summary: JAs the Maintenance Director at Palm Beach Atlantic University, you'll spearhead the seamless operation of mechanical and electrical systems, overseeing general maintenance, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Your dedication to excellence in customer service and adept building management will ensure an optimal environment for all partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead vendor performance initiatives to ensure top-notch service delivery and optimal value for the University
- Apply advanced computerized programs to monitor workflow, ensuring timely project completion while adhering to facility standards and regulatory requirements
- Take the lead in implementing essential programs vital fr the unit leadership, fostering operations excellence
- Provide comprehensive training in maintenance techniques and safety procedures to account personnel, ensuring a skilled and secure workforce
- Undertake all managerial functions essential for the effective account operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all facets
- Drive the implementation and development of Quality Assurance (QA) programs, computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and monthly reporting mechanisms
- Champion strong relationships with clients and their staff, offering clear project status updates and ensuring alignment with customer expectations
- Lead various trades departments, encompassing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utilities, carpentry, and painting services, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field, or a combination of relevant training and work experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading within a Maintenance Environment, showcasing exceptional leadership qualities
- Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, essential for fulfilling job responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, vital for effective collaboration with internal departments and clients
- Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, boiler and HVAC systems, ensuring adept problem-solving and decision-making
- Familiarity with maintenance software systems (CMMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of building automation and mechanical systems, highly desireable for optimizing operations efficiency
