Job Description-Role

The Production Planner creates job orders and production plans in accordance with the Master Schedule.

Duties include reviewing material readiness and releasing jobs/shop order to production and maintaining clear to build status. Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Supports projects related to forecast accuracy improvements. Prepare and maintain relevant reports related to forecast analysis.

Reports to Procurement/ Master Production Scheduling Manager

Responsibilities

• Use and maintain MRP system as primary forecasting tool.
• Developing production plan for manufacturing utilization, factoring in capacity.
• Work closely with procurement/purchasing on status of all incoming materials to release of kit.
• Constraint reporting to production planners and PM department.
• Expediting material status and commit of schedule release for customer changes to forecast/schedule
• Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
• May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency.

Experience/Skills Desired

• Ability to organize, present information, and respond appropriately to questions from employees, managers and customers.

• Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong skills in Microsoft Excel is desired.
