Community School for Apprenticeship Learning, Inc. is Hiring a Registrar - Rebirth Near Baton Rouge, LA
The Registrar is primarily focused on enrollment, preparation of transcripts and maintenance of student files. Maintains student records and course data, which can include helping students schedule or register for classes. Ensures that student academic performance meets graduation requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop student data reports and attendance reports as needed, including attendance audits
Fulfill records requests for withdrawn students
Request and track receipt of records for newly enrolled students.
Maintain the Rebirth Blended Learning Academy and Louisiana student-level databases
Maintain student cumulative files and other student records
Calculates grade point averages if needed, class rank, and prepare honor rolls/special award lists
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of transcripts and records release forms
Process parent contact and data information change requests
Maintain relationships with local school districts for records reporting
Assist counselors verifying graduation requirements and credits earned (if applicable)
File and maintains all permanent student records, including transcripts
Maintain a high-level of discretion and security of student information
Liaison between Rebirth Blended Learning Academy, CSAL, Inc. and other local school districts
Any other duties assigned

Demonstrates high level of customer service skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact and diplomacy.
Excellent communication skills: Oral (including presentations), Written, Interpersonal (active listening).
Proactive and takes initiative. Thinks creatively. Drives projects to completion.
Works with large amounts of data, researches and interprets records, detects errors, and makes the necessary corrections.
Ability to calculate basic arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training
Excellent communication
Time management and organization skills
Professional experience using MS Excel, Word and Outlook Experience
Experience using search engines for research projects
Experience using a student information database (Preferred)
Experience working in a charter school (Preferred)
State financial data base experience (Preferred)
Work Environment – On-site usual office working conditions, noise levels usually moderate.
