Community Options is Hiring a Quality Assurance/Development Director Near Las Cruces, NM

We are actively seeking a State Quality Assurance/Developmental Director in Las Cruces, NM. The Quality Assurance/ Developmental Director is responsible for monitoring the systematic operations of the residential and vocational programs. This person will serve as a liaison between the local office and the national office. This person will be held accountable for ensuring the appropriate implementation of policies and procedures and, ensuring programs are completely in compliance with state rules, regulations and agency policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Executive Director for regions experiencing issues or management vacancies
  • Train management and staff on the COI systems and methodology used to care for the individuals we support including Therap and Gentle Teaching.
  • Assist regions with preparation for surveys and external audits
  • Ensure Therap system updates are rolled out
  • Audit financials, training records, medication administration records, medical records, Therap, and billing documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations
  • Recommend necessary changes in current practices, policy, and procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive record reviews
  • Conduct physical site inspections of homes and programs
  • Coordinate annual peer audits
  • Conduct investigations as needed
  • Cooperate with audits, inspections, and investigations
  • Maintain a master file of all audits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent, and five years related experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

  • Travel required throughout our regions
  • May be required to utilize your own vehicle when traveling
