Primary PurposeProvide a primary point of contact for the Technology Department. Responsible for phone support, distribution of work orders, and onboarding new employees. As well as maintaining vendor relations, entering purchase requests, and receiving deliveries. QualificationsEducation/Certification: High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/SkillsBroad knowledge of computer hardware and software applications Knowledge of Microsoft Office (or similar) tools. Ability to detect and resolve technical or technology-related problems Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience3 years of work experience in administrative support position Major Responsibilities And DutiesTelephone Support
Receive phone calls and work cooperatively to assist end-users to resolve problems
Communicate with the team to identify and resolve emerging problems.
Process & assign technology-related work orders.
Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventative solutions.
Work closely with the Human Resources Department to onboard new staff. This could include; provisioning of different accounts, preparing and assigning devices, and guiding the new staff on first login.
Records And Reports
Track all software materials and licenses, performing routine inventories and filing.
Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other documents as required.
Finance & Budget
Responsible for the procurement process. From obtaining vendor quotes, inputting purchase requests, obtaining purchase orders, to receiving deliveries.
Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure all district policies and best practices are being followed.
Other
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesMay be asked to help prioritize tasks for campus technicians. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsTools/Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations; personal computers and peripherals Posture: Prolonged sitting; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 44 pounds) Environment: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours; occasional district wide travel; May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day.
