ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety of patients, Triages patients and administers appropriate treatment under the direction of a physician or mid-level providers. Prepares the room for each patient’s visit ensuring adequate supplies and instruments.
2. Collecting a history of predefined questions to detect deviations from normal patient routine and assess the condition of the patient. Performs procedure for the patient and documents history, appropriate vital signs, medication and records the INR level and any other pertinent information in the chart.
3. Oversees operation and maintenance of equipment. Ensures the proper maintenance and cleanliness of the machines. Maintains stock and supplies.
4. Maintains accurate and complete research records.
5. Submits raw data to physicians for interpretation.
6. Work with provider for prescription refills.
7. Generates quality control records daily in order to maintain state radiation safety certification.
8. Instructs the patient on pertinent information essential to their care and treatment as directed by a physician.
9. Any other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
State Certified Densitometry Technician with 6 months to one year related experience.
Maintains CME’s. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
OR
equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:Current ACLA/BCLS
MA or LPN Certification (current Colorado license)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (must be obtained within one month of hire)
This position's hiring pay range is: $21.50 - $24.73 per hour, depending on education and experience.
Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments, recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
