Job scope: Responsible for all third party billing and paymentfunctions for the center. Maintains proper backup for all related third partybilling transactions. Directs the activities and Accounting Clerk personnel ofthe center third party billing department. Position requires use of independentjudgment, in in-depth understanding of various third party payor billing andpayment requirements, clean claims regulations and the ability to workeffectively with center coworkers, employees and supervisors. Responsible for completion of paperwork necessary toprocess refunds for private insurance, Medicare and Traditional Medicaid.Responsible for overseeing current assigned programmatic Fiscal Servicescontractual billing. 

Education/licensure:

High School Diploma Required - Completion ofcourses in business / business administration preferred

Current valid driver's license in state ofresidence.

Experience/Knowledge:

Requires advancedorganizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Requires advancedoral and written communication skills with emphasis on extracting and providingconcise and accurate information

Requires knowledgeof center third party funding sources / programs and applicable billingrequirements

Requires experiencein Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding

Knowledge of basicbusiness administration principles

Demonstratesaptitude for logical and deliberate problem solving and decision making

Demonstratescompetency in Microsoft Word / Excel and ability to learn multiple billingsoftware applications

Computer data entryexperience / emphasizing speed and accuracy

Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualificationsessential to the performance of the job:

Moderate lifting and carrying up to a maximum of35 pounds. Sitting for prolongedperiods, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching above shoulderheight. Fine motor skills necessary tooperate essential office equipment. Ability to read and visual acuity to decipher printed information at 8lines per inch. Work site is insideoffice environment.
