Jobscope:
The Behavioral Health Quality Reviewer reports directly to theBehavioral Health Quality Review Manager. The Behavioral Health QualityReviewer is a key team member in establishing a professional system of care tothe individuals served through CHC. Behavioral Health Quality Reviewer willutilize the systematic approach whereby clinical staff are trained to use aPerson-Centered philosophy. Will audit clinical documentation to ensure that aPerson-Centered philosophy is utilized in recovery. Inspects documentation forthe purposes of insuring that contract standards are met for Centerpayors. Ensures contracted services are provided according to the TexasHealth and Human services Commission (HHSC) contract standards. Ensuresthat non-HHSC services are provided according to Center standards. Ensurewritten audit findings are provided to MH programs and corrective action plansrequested as needed to establish a clinically effective workforce. Ensure superuser responsibilities are followed and assists refresher trainings for eligiblestaff are completed twice a year per contractual guidelines. Assists inCANS/ANSA certifications and re-certifications for all eligible staff. Willtrain clinical staff for the purposes of insuring that contract standards are metfor center payors. Will train new staff on HHSC TRR contract, other contractedbehavioral health services, the center's EMR as well as provide refreshertrainings as needed. May maintain a MH caseload as needed.
Education/licensure:
Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Degree froman accredited college or university with an approved major which meets staterequirements for QMHP. Prefer 3 or more years' experience working in the field.
Experience/Knowledge:
Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts anddevise solutions to administrative problems.
Ability to comprehend and implement program goals, objectives andoperations and to relate these to administrative objectives and missions.
Ability to develop, install, and evaluate administrative policiesand procedures.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying andinterpreting departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipswith other staff, administrative personnel and officials and the public.
