The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), is responsible for providing a supportive role to medical professionals to administer patient care. Their duties include taking a patient’s vital signs, including heart rate or blood pressure, assisting Physicians and Nurses throughout examinations by recording a patient’s health information and administering vaccinations or taking blood samples as instructed by Physicians or Nurses.
The LVN has to be able to perform duties and responsibilities that include:
Education: Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing program.
Licensure: Licensed as a Practical/Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas.
Experience: One to two years’ experience as a LVN, preferably with experience in a clinic, doctor’s office, or similar health care facility.
Expertise: Current in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (CPR).
Language: English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Travel: 25-50% locally; valid Texas drivers’ license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation
