The Community Health Center of Buffalo (CHCB) is seeking a Full-time, experienced Registered Nurse to join our large, diverse, well established, growing and state-of-the-art health center.

Primary Function: Delivers nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Provider.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides direction to the Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants
Triages patient phone calls and patient visits
Provides case management
Provides care to patients requiring nurse only visits
Maintains clean, safe orderly work environment
Performs supportive duties to maintain efficient patient flow
Prepares rooms and patients for and assists Medical Providers with examinations and procedures
Performs routine diagnostic tests
Collects and processes specimens
Prepares and administers medications as directed by the health care provider
Reviews lab results and reports abnormal findings to the providers
Maintains supplies for patient rooms
Participates in quality improvement activities.
Communicates effectively with patients and staff.
Maintains a professional manner in interacting with patients and staff
Maintains the integrity of the medical record
Maintains documentation in logs as appropriate
Provides patient education
Physical Demands: Requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Evening work may be required.
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing. One year experience in an ambulatory health care setting. Computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Three years experience in an ambulatory health care setting. Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System.
