Job Summary: Controller is responsible for financial reporting, strategy, internal controls, analysis and development of well-maintained accounting principles, policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of all financial statements. Performs accounting assignments related to, but not limited to, the production of monthly financial statements and analysis of results.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent business experience required. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Nevada Certified Public Account (CPA) license required. Five years of progressive responsible experience in a senior level accounting/finance position preferred. Preference given to candidates with healthcare experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
• Knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
• Skill in operating personal computer using advanced programs and spreadsheets
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership about the finances of the organization and validate certain financial recommendations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and local, state, federal regulations and grant reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections while solving identified problems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, take direction, prioritize, project manage and be well organized
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Ability to maintain mathematical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to work and interact effectively with other staff members to build and enhance team work in the central office, clinics and in the overall organization
• Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, etc.
• Ability to hear and speak to converse over the telephone, use computer efficiently and read computer reports and correspondence
