Admissions Coordinator
Community Health Alliance is seeking a skilled administrative professional to join our Assessment Center Team at our brand new outpatient clinic on Commerce Drive in Middletown. At this location, we provide outpatient services for individuals with mental health and substance use disorder through our Sojourner and TLC agencies. We are a regional leader providing the highest industry standards for comprehensive behavioral health services to strengthen and empower the individuals, families, and communities in Southwest Ohio.
Primary Purpose
As a part of the Assessment Center Team, the Admissions Coordinator coordinates the admissions process and provides support for clients entering outpatient and residential treatment. The Admissions Coordinator is an effective agency partner with strong collaboration, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills and has demonstrated the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge & Skills
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience performing a broad range of duties with an admissions or billing focus.
  • Must possess strong computer skills, high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for admissions or pre-admissions.
  • Experience working with limited resource population.
Key Responsibilities
  • Schedules outpatient and residential admission appointments, follow-up appointments, MAT and psychiatric appointments.
  • Facilitates the removal of barriers to same-day access for assessment and initial medical appointments.
  • Monitors the reception and registration areas to address client needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintains/monitors intake waiting list.
  • Coordinates detoxification and funding for detoxification when needed for patients.
  • Coordinates outpatient and residential admission for clients.
  • Support the Patient Registration Specialist with completing admissions paperwork/electronic forms as needed to include collection of documentation for Form 100s and Medicaid application.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Balances and prioritizes responsiveness to multiple staff and tasks.
