Community Counseling and Mediation (CCM) is a leading Brooklyn-based behavioral health organization committed to improving the lives of at-risk children and families through innovative behavioral health, supportive housing, education, and youth services.
The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and Work, Learn & Grow Employment Program (WLG) places high school-aged youth in subsidized and monitored positions in the community. Youth are encouraged to complete their high school education while developing employability and leadership skills.
Our SYEP & WLG provides services on job readiness skills, resume writing, dress for success, role models, connections to internships, and learning work norms and culture to school-based youth ages 14 to 24. Our program also provides services to vulnerable youth who are challenged and have barriers to work, and to youth who are involved in the foster care system, homeless or runaway youth, or justice-involved.

Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) is a neighborhood-based agency providing a range of social welfare, health, educational, vocational, and supportive housing services to at-risk children, youth and families. Founded in 1982 with a mission to respond to the many problems facing poor African American and Latino adolescents and their families, CCM has since evolved into one of the very few NYC organizations combining culturally sensitive mental health services with a range of educational, health and social activities. Our current programming includes: youth development, foster care preventio...n, conflict resolution training, mental health services, foster care and adoption, substance abuse treatment, and supportive housing. Since day one, the goal has always been to address problems in Brooklyn's most poverty-stricken youth and families by addressing prevention and early intervention. For over 30 years, CCM has been entrenched in Brooklyn's most at-risk and underserved neighborhoods including the Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, Brownsville, East New York and Flatbush communities.
