Community Nursery School seeks dynamic, loving and committed to join our team of educators - one for our morning program and one for our afternoon program - in September of 2024. CNS is a Reggio-inspired, community-based cooperative preschool located in Lexington, MA.

• These are part time co-teaching positions to begin for the 2024-2025 school year (Sept ‘24 - early June ‘25)
• Hours for the morning program position are 8:00am - 12:30pm
• Hours for the afternoon program position are 11:30am -3:30pm

Ideal candidates should have:

• EEC Preschool Teacher Certification (or background in education and/or a willingness to pursue certification).
• Genuine love for and interest in the work of young children.
• Familiarity with Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based early education approach.
• A solid knowledge of child development and process-oriented, play-based learning.
• The ability to create an inspiring and engaging learning environment where children experience joy and a sense of wonder, both inside our beautiful building and on our expansive outdoor grounds.
• The capacity to create warm, nurturing and professional relationships with children, families and fellow educators. The ability to interact collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• A commitment to celebrating cultural diversity and respect for diverse learners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work both cooperatively and independently on a co-teaching team.

Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
