Employees should apply to serve at his/her home campus. If there is a vacancy for a position after the application and initial hiring deadlines close, all eligible employees will be considered to fill the vacancy, regardless of home campus. Positions will be filled on an annual basis; all applicants must (re)apply to be considered. Compensation: 3 credit reduction is equivalent to 7.5 hours per week or 120 hours for the semester. General Summary: The Campus Diversity Officers (CDOs) will work collaboratively with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to offer diversity education programming, workshops and trainings to advance the CCAC Five Commitments. The work of the CDOs will be centered on diversity, equity and inclusion, and align with the one-college model while also responding to campus-specific needs. The CDOs will also serve as standing members on the college's Equity and Diversity Committee.

Job Duties:
1. Serves as the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) liaison to the assigned campus. Collaborates with other Campus Diversity Officers to promote the one-college model.
2. As per Article VIII: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, serves as a standing member on the College Equity and Diversity Committee, which is chaired by the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, to assist with the implementation of the CCAC Five Commitments initiatives and programs.
3. Assists the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) in creating/monitoring and reviewing the College-wide Diversity Action/Tactical Plan, as well as individual departmental diversity goals.
4. Required to attend meetings of the Campus Diversity Officers, coordinated by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
5. Required to organize and present a minimum of one (1) diversity event and/or trainings per academic semester (fall and spring), working in partnership with academic departments, the Office of Student Life & Engagement, multicultural/advocacy student organizations, and/or related community organizations.
6. Along with other Campus Diversity Officers, required to organize and present a minimum of one (1) workshop/training in partnership with the Center for Teaching and Learning during the academic year.
7. Identifies and reports diversity and equity opportunities, campus/college needs challenges, and issues to the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and/or Provost as requested.
8. Available to serve on campus-specific search committees.
9. Serves as liaison between the respective campus/College and community organizations concerned with diversity and equity.
10. Required to show proof of completion for the Office of Human Resources/Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Diversity Certificate Program Level I training by the start of Fall 2021 semester.
11. All other duties assigned by the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer.
