The ASU is a short-term 16-bed voluntary unit for people experiencing mental health and substance use crises to achieve stability and access to ongoing treatment. RN will assess and monitor the psychiatric and medical needs of clients and will offer intervention/support to clients experiencing behavioral health crises. The ideal candidate is caring, energetic, and can be both independent and a team player, with an understanding of mental health and substance use issues and a desire to learn, grow, and work directly with clients. RN is responsible for administering medications needed for stabilization and educating clients on the effects of medication. Duties include evaluation of clients for hospitalization in crisis, which includes implementing a plan for safety as well as facilitating voluntary and involuntary hospitalization when necessary.

Education/Licensing Requirements:

Seeking an RN, BSN, or ADN. RI RN licensure required.
