Purpose and Objectives: Provide objective and unbiased information and assistance on all long-term care options, services/supports and provide follow-up to clients, professionals and caregivers.
Organizational Values: The Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC) assists Staten Islanders age 60 and older to live as independently as possible in the community. We do this by working in hand-in-hand with older adults, respecting their right to make decisions for themselves, honoring their life experiences and heritage, and recognizing the importance of friends, relatives and community in creating supportive environments for people as they age.
NY Connects is a state–wide program providing objective and unbiased information and assistance to individuals with disabilities of ALL ages with long term care needs or questions, to obtain free and objective information about long term care services and supports over the phone, via email, and in person (onsite and offsite). Information/assistance can be sought by individuals themselves or their caregivers, friends, neighbors or helping professionals.
